HARE JAPAN – 2012 SPRING COLLECTION
Hare is a little known Japanese brand but much like WEGO is a store I always make sure I visit whenever I am in Tokyo. The brand specialises in simple and basic items but made with quality and uniqueness in mind – meaning that even the most basic of plain white shirts in their collection have that special something that makes them instantly buyable. They aren’t too dissimilar to French brand A.P.C except all of the garments have that distinct Asian feel to them making them that little bit more charming.
Last time I was in Tokyo I managed to pick up their (very beautifully printed) 2012 Spring Collection catalogue in the Harajuku branch. The theme of this collection was ‘Fresh up! = Active Three’ and it’s full of the brand’s usual esthetic, the term ‘Urban feminine’ is used to describe the collection and there are many styles created with the focus being on just one stand out item within each outfit, either through bold colour or floral print.
The easiest Hare store to find if you’re ever in Tokyo is the branch inside of La Foret, though there is a much larger store down a Harajuku side street don’t leave Japan without checking at least one of them out.
