The first hit of this fragrance today is absolute bliss, having found the previous offerings a little hit and miss as soon as I smelt this one I knew I was onto a winner and that today would be a good day. The first smell is a sweetened pink pepper scent with a hint of berries and citrus – the pepper takes centre stage though and the fragrance itself almost has a hint of medicinal about it, which is perhaps why I found it quite a comforting scent at first.
Through the day I really could not stop smelling this, it felt like such a familiar scent to me and by afternoon I was getting hints of patchouli within the mix but the fragrance still remained light.
The finish of this fragrance is a sweet floral, but nothing either masculine or feminine – the orchid is present but not overwhelming and this is a very good thing.
Having experienced the heaviness of the previous fragrances I tried this was a pleasant surprise, I was expecting another strong hit but the scent remained that of light cough sweets blended with summer berries and had great longevity despite it’s lightness.
This is most certainly an unusual one and thankfully stays away from being ‘safe’ or ‘generic’ I really could not stop smelling it, and it’s sweetened lightness did really put me in a jolly mood for the day. I am not sure how much this fragrance lives up to it’s blurb regarding it being an ‘ode to seduction’ but in terms of opening the heart to all possibilities upon smelling this it really did make me feel calmed, loved and optimistic – it just feels like that sort of ‘nothing can go wrong’ sort of scent. Lovely!
